As a Consultant and Program Leader with JMW Australia Pacific for over 7 years, Karen Jepp has worked with organizations from a range of industries including: Mining, Oil and Gas, Roads, Rail, Defence, Utilities (Water and Power), Loyalty companies, and International Development.
Karen has also supported a range of public and private sector bids and large scale capital projects including the Ballina Bypass Alliance, the Hume Highway Alliance, SAFElink Alliance, the Air Warfare Destroyer Alliance, Sugarloaf Pipeline, and the Argyle Underground project.
Karen’s primary focus, whether it be as a consultant making an intervention in predictable performance or as a program leader building leadership capability, is on impacting individuals, teams and organizations to realize a significant step change in performance. In both contexts the particular perspective she operates from is enabling people to see something different or new that they hadn’t seen before that opens up different actions for them to take which produce the desired results.
Karen specializes in designing and leading JMW’s customized public and in-house leadership capability programs to impact performance. Each program is designed to be a match for the discreet challenges of an organization, inside their current market conditions, focused on their strategic imperatives, at any level of an organization. She has been instrumental in the design and delivery of JMW’s The Leader of the Future™, Leadership Performance and Results™ and Leader as Coach™ programs.
In addition Karen coaches executives, managers, internal coaching teams and cross-functional groups in generating performance breakthroughs.

As an example of Karen’s impact, she is helping Z energy build capability throughout its entire organization from the executive, right through to site staff. The 15 programs she has led thus far has helped create a performance turnaround for the organization with stunning results. Over the course of the engagement, book value for the company increased from NZ $700m to $1.6bn and an IPO raised NZ $840m.
In another example, Karen held the accountability for supporting the Ballina Bypass Alliance a $620 million road project to deliver exceptional performance over four years of delivery, in what was considered one of the most complex soft soil projects delivered within Australia. The engagement went on to win the AMCF international management consulting award in the Human Capital category.
Prior to joining JMW, Karen worked for Learning Performance Seminars empowering individuals to achieve beyond expectation results in education. She also delivered Landmark Education’s Self Expression and Leadership program supporting individuals in creating start-up businesses such as Yo Sushi and Pret a Manger, as well as working on many fundraising and community projects.
Karen attended Flinders University majoring in Economics and Japanese, has a Diploma IV in performance arts, and is certified as both a Bikram and Fierce Grace yoga teacher.
