JMW’s Elizabeth Dorey Appointed to the Board of Houston PetSet

February 25, 2025 | Houston, Texas. We are proud to share that Elizabeth Dorey, Partner, Talent has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Houston PetSet, a Houston-based nonprofit dedicated to ending the homelessness and suffering of companion animals.

A longtime supporter of the organization, Elizabeth has been affiliated with Houston PetSet for over five years through advocacy, volunteer efforts, and community engagement. Now stepping into a formal leadership role, she brings both passion and strategic insight to the board at a time when the organization’s mission has never been more urgent.

A Houston resident and lifelong animal lover, Elizabeth has witnessed firsthand the growing crisis of homeless and stray animals in the Greater Houston area. Her commitment to this cause runs deep, driven by the belief that all animals deserve to be loved, protected, and properly cared for.

“It doesn’t have to be this way. Houston PetSet is at the forefront of making the necessary impact through education, fundraising, and legislative advocacy,” said Dorey. “It’s an honor to contribute in a greater capacity to a mission I care so deeply about.”

Founded in 2004, Houston PetSet takes a comprehensive approach to animal welfare by funding lifesaving programs, advocating for effective policy changes, and providing direct support to underserved communities. The organization collaborates with shelters, rescue groups, and civic leaders to address the root causes of animal homelessness, while also hosting large-scale events that offer essential pet care services—including vaccinations, food, and supplies—to thousands of pets annually.

As a Partner at JMW Consultants, Elizabeth brings deep expertise in leadership, organizational performance, and complex stakeholder alignment—skills that will support Houston PetSet’s continued impact and growth. Her professional background, coupled with her longstanding dedication to community service, makes her uniquely positioned to help further the organization’s mission and amplify its reach.

JMW is proud to support Elizabeth in this important role and applauds her ongoing commitment to creating a more compassionate and humane Houston.
