Artificial intelligence, automation and robotics dominated the conversation at this year's EPC Show. Yet beneath the excitement around technology, a different theme emerged: major projects are still won and lost on people. From the risks of "weaponizing" contracts to the growing challenge of separating credible data centre projects from speculation, and the shift from delivering single projects to building long-term programs of work, the event highlighted a fundamental truth. Technology may change how projects are delivered, but trust, commitment, alignment and partnership remain the factors that determine whether they succeed.
